Review: Palmolive Vibrant Color

The TV ad of Palmolive Vibrant Color came across almost a month before I had my hair colored. I got curious with the product that I want to try it right after I had my hair colored but it was not available in the market, I looked at WalterMart Imus and SM Bacoor, until after 3 days which I bought both the shampoo and conditioner in Watson’s SM Bacoor.

Since I have colored and digipermed hair I am looking for a shampoo that can make my hair soft, manageable, strong and can prolong the color.

I have used both Palmolive Vibrant Color Shampoo and Conditioner 3 times every other day since I bought it and here is my take on the product.

Pros:

   - Affordable. Php 99.00 for the Shampoo, and Conditioner at Php 102.00.
   - Hair color is still vibrant (but my hair color is only more than a week)
   - My hair is soft.
   - Smells good it last more than 24 hours.

Cons:

   - Had a hard time time finding it.
   - Made my hair dry, brittle and prone to breakage despite being soft.
   - After every shampoo, the smell is very overpowering that it has caused me sinusitis.
   - During 1st use, it has caused some dandruff.

I watched the TV ad again of Palmolive Vibrant Color and it only focuses on prolonging the color and not other benefits. Based on the result of the product, the TV ad lived to it’s expectation. But I will stop using this, since it has caused me a not-so-vibrant result with the texture of my hair.

I will be trying next the New Finesse Clean+Simple Hypoallergenic Shampoo and Conditioner For Dry/Color Treated Hair.. hope to get a good result.:)

16 years in the making….

Today, I crossed out 2 things in my Bucket List.

1. Watched Ateneo vs La Salle Basketball Game LIVE

2. Took a photo with Olsen Racela

Bonus: UST in now on the finals after 6 years.

But the photo with Olsen Racela is the most overwhelming of my happiness for today. It took 16 years to actually have my photo taken with my idol, Olsen Racela. Since grade school, I watched his PBA games but was saddened when he hanged his no. 17 San Miguel Beermen jersey in 2011 and was not able to witness the culmination of his career which is also a finals game.

The moment I saw him stepped into the Lower Box seat in the De La Salle side was a surprise, he is from the Ateneo. Good thing his wife is from La Salle. I was also on the green side because of my brother, not because I studied there. If I was not watching the game, I am looking at them. Well, most of the time. Fan mode or stalker?

After the game, which Ateneo won, I lost sight and he was lost. But outside Araneta, I saw Olsen again, with his daughter, walking and I was ecstatic again for a moment but my brother also noticed him. I took the chance to ask him for a photo and he gladly obliged. He was so nice and accommodating. I am happy, very much, contented… after 16 years, glad it still happened.

——

The photo might speak of the finals, the Atenean and the Thomasian. Hope I could see the Olsen Racela again in the finals. Though we are officially on the opposing team, I would be happy to see him again. But this photo already made my day, oh, also my life.

You can describe me with so many adjectives, but one thing’s for sure “I am hard headed”.

It has numerous meaning, but when my mind coincides with my heart for something, I am ‘unstoppable’.

Even if sudden emotion such as disturbance from the will to proceed takes in, my head will be bumped to realize that being logical is always right.

When it comes to myself, I have no heart, pushing myself even if there’s not much to push for, welcoming pain even if there’s a way out and taking risk even if there is great danger.

“Are you scared?”, I answered “no.” Have I thought about it “no.” But my instinct says it. Why? I don’t even know.

Fear, it comes but can go, is a break from being motivated and Faith has to win over it. I am thinking of my purpose and it hasn’t stopped, my journey doesn’t, the destination is somewhere, but the ride is fun, happiness is attainable, it is within me.

If there is a will, I will surely find ways through anything just to achieve the goal. Even failure will be a sweet sorrow, if I believe and know I can always stand up and move on.
